Background
The original Tales of Monsterland was my first Game Boy game, actually, first game at all. Created during lockdown in 2021. In 2024 it was rebuilt almost from scratch in a newer version of the GB Studio tooling, with newly commisioned chip-tune music, bug fixes and tons of additions and improvements throughout. As well as bringing Monsterland into full colour.
It was a great way to get started in the world of Game Boy development, and I was hooked.
